MEN'S SECTION

The Men's Section at Picton Golf & Country offer leagues, competitions, intra-club match and stroke play and the opportunity to enjoy relaxed rounds in the company of friends. Whether you are an avid and serious golfer or a recreational golfer, there are activities, events and socials for everyone.

All Men's Section events are organized and run by volunteers. Ideas, suggestions and, of course, more volunteers, are always welcomed. We are open to any and all suggestions to help improve where we can, introduce new games and events, and to being the best Country Club for you and your extended family.  If you have any questions, ideas, or concerns please click here to contact the Men's Section.

We encourage you to get involved and look forward to seeing you on the course.  We are always looking for Men's Section Volunteers.

Men's Stroke & Match Play Competitions
These events are a great way to kick up your game a notch while enjoying some friendly competition. These competitions are "ladder" events, whereby winners from one level move up to play other winners in the next level until the overall winners are determined. Valid and up-to-date handicaps are required.

Mixed Match Play: There are two great competitions for Mixed Match Play: Couples Challenge and Mixed Team Challenge. Click here for complete details.

Quinte Cup Challenge: This Men's Challenge was established in 1923 and has been an important and hotly contested event, and coveted win, ever since. The Picton team goes head to head in this exciting match play event with teams from Roundel Glen, Trenton Golf Club and Napanee Golf Club. The team is selected based on results of a qualifying round. Watch the bulletin board and member e-blast newsletters for additional information. This is a gross score event, no handicaps are required.

Men's Intersectionals: The Men's Intersectionals are annual district events in which teams from our Club complete against teams from clubs in our region. We currently field teams - an "A" team, a "B" team and a "Senior" team - with each team comprised of 8 players. The competitions usually take place in late August or early September. Valid handicaps are required.

The Key To Understanding and Maintaining Your Handicap (with updated information introduced in the 2020 World Handicapping System.) For more information on Handicapping, please visit the The Rules & Handicapping Information Page.
