A Tribute to Steve Ward

Steve Ward passed away on Sunday December 29, 2019.

No one knew the Club better than Steve. His relationship with Picton Golf & Country Club goes back more years than we can count. He generously gave of his time and talents to ensure our Club was the best it could be.

Steve was an integral part of the Club’s expansion to 18 holes, re-defining the old 9 and designing an additional 9 holes to shape the championship course we know today.

Steve served many terms on the Board of Directors, offering his vast knowledge of golf course management and serving as the consistent voice of reason.  Steve’s dedication and support to Picton Golf & Country Club were unparalleled. In addition to being one of the greatest advocates of our Club, Steve was a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed.
