mixed match play competitions

There are two great opportunities to participate in Mixed Match Play Competitions at The Club. Sign Up sheets for both the Couple's Challenge and the Mixed Alternate Shot will be posted by Course Opening on the Bulletin Board in the downstairs hallway. Once the deadline for sign-up passes, the schedule of play will be posted. Please ensure your match's are completed by the timeframe indicated on the schedule.

COUPLE'S CHALLENGE

This is a select drive/alternate shot competition. One twosome plays against another using the difference between their handicaps. For example, one twosome has a combine handicap of 34; the other twosome has a combined handicap of 44. Take the difference (10) and divide by 2 = 5. The twosome with the lower combined handicap will give the other twosome 5 strokes on the hardest 5 handicapped holes using the Women's hdcp holes on the scorecard.

All players hit from the tee. Each twosome selects which of their 2 drives to play. After making their choice, they play alternately until the ball is holed out. The team winning the most holes moves on to the next round.

Note: Couples can be married or not, but they must reside in the same household.
