Submitting your scores promptly is one of the cornerstones of keeping your Handicap Index current. The computer kiosk in the Pro Shop is available exclusively for the posting of scores and provides an easy way to post right after the completion of your game. This year, based on the physical distancing and sanitation concerns brought on by the COVID-19 situation, you may be more comfortable posting your scores from your home computer, phone, or tablet. This, too, is easily done through the Golf Canada Score Centre, and will still allow you to submit your scores on the day of play. You can access the Golf Canada Score Centre directly from the Members' page on our Club website, through both the Golf Canada and Golf Ontario websites, or go directly to scg.golfcanada.ca . You will be required to login using your Username and Password. If you have submitted scores before in this manner, you already know your login information. If you have not used this method before, your initial Username is “gao” followed by your Golf Ontario membership number and your initial Password is “123456." You can change both of these to your personal preferences by updating your profile on the Score Centre site. This week’s lesson video also contains very important information about the maintenance of your Handicap Index and the scenarios where discretionary and/or disciplinary changes can be applied to your record. We urge you to give this week’s video your attention. Stay tuned for next week’s lesson that details the new maximum Handicap Indexes that will be used under the WHS. This positive change encourages beginner golfers and those who do not have handicaps to participate and allows players of all abilities to track their progress. As always, if you have any questions, please drop us a note at handicapcommittee@pictongolf.ca or click here to send us a message now. Take care of yourselves and think GOLF! Your Handicap Committee
