Introducing the Picton Golf & Country Club
The Picton Golf & Country Club Official Ambassador team met on May 16th to discuss the role of the club Ambassador. Ambassadors are all about helping to create and actively promote PGCC as a fun, friendly and great place to play golf with other members and guests. Our message is "Fun, Friendly, Great Golf"; something we want to become famous for. When we are known for this, we will be attractive to members, potential members and guest players. The more members we have, the more we can control cost and course condition
The Ambassador team is versed in the golf club's strategic plan, and is an extension of the Board. Ambassadors stay aware of current events and activities through on-going email and website communication, and are the "go-to" people for members. The Ambassador is all about helping in communicating, broadening, and creating open and on-going dialogue with members and guests to solicit ideas, identify issues, and provide timely feedback to the Board.
We thank the 2016 Ambassador Team for stepping forward. This year’s team consists of Dick Shannon, Gary Campbell, Dave Greer, Maie Ilves, Brian Ramsay, Sheila Hobson, Ken Eccles, David MacKay, Tony Knight, Ken Murray, Steve Hyatt, Brian Attwood, Jack Starkey, Kirk Reynolds, Karen Connor, Meribeth Edwards, Noreen Vader, Alice Carson, John Drechsler, Karen Insley, John Chisling, Scott Bigg and Board members Deb Rankin, Steve Ward, Glynne Jones, Andrew Laliberte, Riivo Ilves, Judi Edwards, David Franks, Bob Mauro, and Jim JJ Johnston. Ambassadors can be recognized by the Ambassador buttons they wear. While these people are Official Ambassadors, at the end of the day we are all Ambassadors and the hope is we all do our part in helping our great course become famous for “Fun, Friendly, Great Golf”.
