WELCOME TO GREAT GOLF IN THE COUNTY
PICTON GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB IS A CHALLENGING AND ENJOYABLE 18 HOLE, PAR 72 CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE THAT OFFERS SOMETHING TO CHALLENGE GOLFERS OF ALL LEVELS AND ABILITIES.
Dramatic elevations, superbly maintained bentgrass greens, demanding fairways, a great restaurant and some of the most beautiful views you will find anywhere in Prince Edward County.
The Picton Golf and Country Club has a rich history since its founding by HB Bristol and others in 1907. Originally designed by Nicol Thompson (younger brother Stanley, later to become one of the foremost golf architects was just 14 years old at the time) - our course has developed through three iterations into the fine 18-hole layout we enjoy today. You can still see the last vestiges of the original layout at the 17th green, which still survives to this day in its location and orientation in its original form.
Our club is also one of the last of the member directed not-for-profit golf clubs in existence in North America. As a community enterprise, it has been able through its long history to keep rates low, encouraging everyone in the area to become members and share the pleasures of the game we love. Our club has had a long-storied past and has experienced the various stages of the game as it has developed over the decades. From the era of the ‘bouncing Billy’ Haskell ball to the modern era of multi material graphite drivers, members at the Picton Golf & Country Club have experienced all the pleasures of golf as it has developed into the modern game.
